Contemporary Design
The set of two sculpture tables, unique pieces, named “Shibuya”, are inspired by the famous district of the same name in the city of Tokyo. The green and red of the traffic lights and the thousands of colored neon lights of the most populated intersection in the world direct the light and orderly flow of thousands of people who, as if by magic, observe each other but never touch: this is the story that we want to tell in this project, the photograph of a unique place experienced with wonder by a Western traveler. This work does not want to imitate the unattainable poetics of design made in Japan, the ambition is that it can be an ironic object, almost naive, elegant and precious, just as you feel when you walk through the streets of Tokyo. The coffee tables “Shibuya” represent a mix between design and “handmade” by specialized artisans MADE IN ITALY, with a strong scent of the East.
