wacky design!
Covered in bright red and green chequered woollen fabric, typical of the time.
The frame is lacquered grey – obviously quite regular “ex works”, no subsequent lacquering.
As crazy as the look is, as stable is the design
– the chair is heavy, the upholstery is tight and even the loose cushions are not just foam but have a spring core.
The armrests are lightly upholstered.
A unique piece of furniture of great quality!
The cover itself is in top order, on the back cushion there are two light spots which could not be easily removed when cleaning with upholstery cleaner.
We cleaned all the cushions with upholstery cleaner.
The wooden frame is in TOP condition, only slight abrasions in the lacquer, which are usual for the time.
All in all, a sensationally cool original with typical period charm
