Impressive pair of Boulle style ebonized cabinets with glass doors and copious adornment. The tortoiseshell type inlay and intricately cut brass bands grace the top and sides of each piece. Brilliant brass molded edging and banded inlay trace the contours of the cabinets. Brass plaques in foliate, acanthus and scroll motifs are stationed flanking the glass door, and the center features a zeus-like head set amongst more elaborate scrolls.
The outside is ebonized wood, the inside has a single fixed shelf with ebonized edging and a single inlaid band of brass.
