We present you this exquisite and rare pair of 19th-century Louis XV-style ceremonial bergere chairs with winged backs from the Napoleon III era. These chairs contain decorative motifs made with mahogany and rosewood cube marquetry, featuring broad inlaid lines highlighting the ornamentation adorning the armrests and legs. Rosewood circles delineate the beginning of the design’s patterns.
The lavish gilded and finely crafted bronze embellishments are prominently displayed on all four legs of the chairs, ending with clawed feet. The armrest drops and leg falls are adorned with acanthus leaf motifs. Double gilded bronze rings encircle all the chair’s crossbars.
They are upholstered in a gray mouse-colored fabric. These chairs are a truly rare model on the market and thus would make a great addition to enhance the ambiance of a Haussmannian living room or bedroom.
