19th Century French Louis XIV Wrought Iron Demilune Console with Black Marble dates to the Napoleon III period and recalls the splendor of the age! Elegant and complex scrolls weave their way across the curved facade, and are embellished with foliate, crest, shell and floral details that are highlighted in patinaed gold. Originally designed as a window guard, it has been painted a flat black which contrasts elegantly with the gold highlights on the embellishments. Now repurposed as a console, it has been topped with luxurious black marble for maximum impact combined with a carefree surface. Five feet on the structure create natural stability such that it is not necessary to mount to the wall like most consoles. Great for hallways and stairwell landings, as well as anywhere a table against the wall is desirable! Also a good choice for outdoor protected areas…
