A fine pair of mid 19th century Aubusson Tapestry Wall panels created for hanging between windows or doors and were known as Entre Fenetre panels. Hand woven in wool with silk highlights, this goreous pair features two complimentary sprays of different various flowers including peonies, cabbage rosess, parrot tulipss, fritillaria, daisies and larkspu in urns with a crest underneath framed with eagle heads. The asymmetrical borders are also elaborate with bellflower garlands and other fanciful designs. Beautiful strong colors.

Condition:GoodRepaired: A bit of minor needlework repair has been done. Wear consistent with age and use. This pair is over 170 yeas old and altough the colors are very strong there is some soilage at the bottoms where they have puddled to the floor. We have never attempted to clean them.
