A fabulous Regency style Napoleon III three-light mirrored wall sconce in gilded bronze. Dating from the second half of the 19th century, this impressive light features a scallop-edged mirrored backplate, framed by coquillages, and adorned at its crest with a superbly detailed mascaron with a halo of sunrays. A second mascaron forms the base of the design, this one boasting a frilled collar and gleaming tiara from which radiate outwards the three candle- holding arms. These curve elegantly to the front and sides, and terminate in decorative capitals installed above acanthus-clad drip pans.
