Elegant Nantais Property secretary cabinet in solid cherry wood with two mitre-cut framed doors at the top. Each door has a recessed panel with vertical grain. These doors close with a key and an original lock with brass fillet entries. The interior is fitted with an adjustable shelf on a rack.
This cabinet has a beautiful flap with a mitered frame embellished with the same mouldings as the top pores. In the centre there is a horizontal wooden panel. This flap is closed by a key and an original lock with brass entry. Inside we find a tabernacle in solid cherry wood, with a large niche and drawers pulled out by brass knobs. A central drawer is equipped with an original key and lock in working order. On each side, two columns recall the empire style of this secretary. The flap is covered with a magnificent olive green leather decorated with golden vignette and a central empire motif.
At the bottom of the cabinet, three drawers of the same height open with a working key and an original lock with a brass filleted entry. A fourth drawer is hidden in the plinth.
On the sides, two magnificent empire columns are embellished at the top with a large finely chiselled bronze ring and at the bottom with a bronze collar. These columns rest on a rounded section ending in a turned foot.
