This pair of bronze twin arm antique wall sconces show the allegorical Hellenistic winged figures of NIKE or Victory, symbol of military triumph.
The detailed cast winged figure of Victory stands tipped-toed on a sphere and holds up an urn vase with two scrolling arms, ending with candleholders decorated with floral patterns, fluting leaves, and flowers.
Excellent condition and very well cast. These antique appliques, of French origin, come from an Italian private palazzo.
The cherry wooden panel height size is 43 cms, overall size up to candleholders is 49 cms high.
Cherry panels have a great warm color and a handmade shellac polish finish.
