A pair of French Napoleon III period walnut console tables from the mid-19th century, with grey marble tops and bronze motifs. Born in France during the reign of Emperor Napoleon III, each of this pair of console tables features a lovely grey marble top, sitting above a veneered apron accented in its center with a bronze foliage motif. Each table is raised on a base presenting column-shaped turned legs in the front and straight supports in the back, connected to one another through an arched lower shelf. The ebonized bun feet create a lovely contrast of colors that provides a perfect conclusion to the ensemble. With their elegant lines and delicate decor, these French Second Empire console tables circa 1860 will bring a refined touch to any living room or foyer.
