Mid-Century Minimalist Walnut Sideboard, 1960s

Generously broadly executed sideboard from the sixties with a two-tone combination of walnut wood and ash. Chic to apply in the living room as, for example, TV furniture or as a sideboard in the bedroom.

The wall cabinet has a ‘mirrored’ veneer made of walnut wood: Due to this technique of veneering, a repetition in the flames in the wood is visible, causing the warm veins to repeat themselves on the panels of the doors and the hull of the cabinet.

On the left side of the cabinet are two wide doors behind which is a generous storage space separated by a shelf. The doors that hang in the cabinet with brass hinges. This cabinet part can be locked with a lock and the original equal key.

To the right of the cabinet is a four chest of drawers whose original handles are made of the lighter wood type ash, which gives a nice contrast with the warm tones of the walnut wood. The drawers open and close smoothly by pulling the organically shaped handles.

The whole is on a base with four conical wooden legs, which gives this space winner an empty character despite its generous size. The cabinet has been professionally renovated by us, making the cabinet look almost like new again. Old layers of maintenance have been carefully removed from the wood, and repairs carried out and then fed it with a high-quality matte furniture oil, bringing the veins in the wood back to life. The cabinet has almost no traces of use and can be put into use immediately.
