This extraordinary French Second Empire period secre´taire a’ abattan features flame mahogany, gilt brass-mounts and retains its original dark grey speckled granite top. Decorated throughout with the original ormolu neoclassical motif, the facade is framed by caryatid-shaped pilasters and stands on gold gilt lions’ paw feet. the front opens to reveal pigeonholes and drawers. There are an addition of three locked drawers on bottom cabinet with a single drawer at top. See measurements below.
