Great set of books from the early 1900’s. This is the Victoria Edition of ‘Crowned Masterpieces of Eloquence’ with an introduction by Augustine Birrell and Sir Gilbert Parker. They were written for the International University Society Edition in 1910, and this set is from 1914. All are bound in leather with beautiful pictures protected with tissue paper. The set includes volumes 1-9. It is missing volume 10 (letters Trum-Z). There is wear to the leather on each book. The pages are in remarkably clean condition and free from creases. A great collection for a scholar or historian.
