“Bonheur Du Jour In Boulle Marquetry Napoleon III Period – Gradin Desk – Two Bodies – Showcase” This gorgeous piece of furniture is at the end of restoration and will be finished at the end of March. Very beautiful and great joy of the day forming a writing table, composed of two parts, in Boulle marquetry with brass threads on an ebony veneer background. The lower part is a desk table forming a writing desk with a drawer which reveals shelves adorned with gilded leather with a small iron, and a storage space below. The upper part forms a display case or bookcase with two ornate doors, the whole being glazed on the 3 exhibition sides. It includes 3 glass shelves and a shape. Two small drawers complete the set. Rich ornamentation of gilded bronzes with falls, spandrels, rosettes, falls on the curved feet, descents and sabots, masks. Very elegant and full of finesse furniture.
