This exquisite piano stool from the Napoleon III era combines historical elegance with outstanding craftsmanship. Made from high-quality wood, the stool is artfully turned and is characterized by its robust, yet delicate construction. The seat is height adjustable and offers music lovers and pianists optimal comfort.
The piano stool has a frame made of 3 slanted, turned legs which carry the plate with the spindle nut. The legs are held together at the bottom by decorative struts. The steel spindle is covered by a vertical round wood that is also turned. The seat was originally made of Viennese weave and was later upholstered and covered with genuine leather. The stool is height adjustable from 45 cm to approx. 60 cm. The stool is very comfortable and stable.
Condition: All gluing has been checked and repaired where necessary. The spindle guide is in very good condition and has little play. Some of the surfaces are heavily rubbed and the leather is brittle.
Good usable vintage condition.
