Antique cast iron French door knocker
A gilt cast iron door knocker often described as the hand of Fatima or the hand of Eve.
The piece is decorated with foliage and the hand holds a piece of fruit. There is a matching striking plate.
Stamped on the hand is an anchor and the initials CF, which refer to the maker Camion Frères, Ardennes. It is also stamped with the number 12 and the letter C.
A good solid piece that has been cleaned and re-finished. Complete with fixings.
