19th century oak desk from France. The top is banded and has beveled and hand carved decorated edges. The top follows down to molded and hand carved decorated aprons on all four sides , for easy placement in any room. There are two drawers in the front, which are hidden in the hand carved molded apron. The table is supported on hand turned barley twist legs, joined by matching cross stretchers, decorated with a hand turned finial on the base. The piece is raised on hand turned feet. This piece is elegant and would be the star of any room in which it is placed. The apron measures 24 inches in height.
