19th century French Henri II Walnut End Table with Hexagonal Marble Top is a remarkable result of traditional French craftsmanship melded with Industrial Revolution ingenuity! Skillfully using a lathe, the artisans turned amazingly intricate legs with complex geometric designs, then connected them below with equally amazing turned stretchers terminating in a central shaft that itself displays amazing turned detail with finials above and below. The three legs create a stable tripod base for the hexagonal marble top which is richly bordered in multi-tiered molding. All the wood is rendered from fine French walnut, and the marble is of a charcoal color with intricate white veining producing a stunning result that also provides a carefree and elegant surface!
