Vintage Design
Set of two Restoration period chairs with blond mahogany frames.
The seats, called “à pelotes”, are by definition designed with webbing and natural horsehair. They are covered with a yellow ochre velvet fabric with a nail finish.
The moderately curved backrests are each fitted with two intermediate bars.
These seats rest at the front on “shank” feet with snail-shaped mouldings at the top. The rear legs are “sabres”.
This pair of bicentennial chairs will have no trouble finding a place in our current homes, where the colours of fawn and mustard are more trendy than ever.
