This 18k gold bracelet contains eight scarabs in various shades of blues, greens, and browns, each with a unique hieroglyphic. Made from clay, the scarab beads get their coloring when copper within the clay turns turquoise during the firing process; no two scarabs are alike and their rustic nature make this piece fascinating to look at. The 18k gold bezel mounts have a saw tooth that adds a graphic and holds the scarabs in place. The hand-carved hieroglyphics on the back of each scarab are very detailed— and must they tell a story in an ancient language.

During the early 19th century, the discoveries of ancient archaeological finds influenced what is referred to as “Egyptian Revival Jewelry.” The first Egyptian Revival period began around the 1820’s when Egyptian ruins were unearthed. Images such as the scarab beetle, sphinxes, pharaohs, and hieroglyphics became popular in fashion. Some pieces were crafted using a material known as Egyptian Paste or “faience”, which is the oldest form of non-clay glazed ceramic, and is often found in a range of blue and green colors. This bracelet is from the 1920’s, the third Egyptian revival period. At that time there was another unearthing of treasures, so the trend was once again popular.

The bracelet is unmarked and acid tests as 18k gold. There are eight scarabs, each is approximately 5/8” x 7/16”. The bracelet is 7 3/8” and weighs 18 grams.

This hand-engraved 14k gold pendant was inspired by an original L. Fritzsche and Co. nail pendant from the Edwardian era. We loved the scrolling foliate, so we cast a horse-shoe nail of the same shape and size and had it hand-engraved with a motif inspired by the one on the original piece. The hand engraving has beautiful detail and is considered a lost art—we are lucky to work with a skilled engraver! At the top of the nail are three small diamonds bead set into the carved out tip of the nail.

The nail is 2 1/2” long and has a 9 x 6 mm bail. It weighs 3.95 grams. The three diamonds are 1.25 mm each. The pendant is unmarked and tests as 14k gold.

The long, narrow shape of this piece makes it stack well with both large and small charms.

A beautiful estate old European cut, bezel set, five (5) diamond and 14-Karat yellow gold necklace, diamonds circa ealry-20th century, necklace mid-20th century. Necklace, also known as ‘Diamonds by the Yard’, in the style of Tiffany & Co., is comprised of five (5) old European cut diamond solitaires/round cuts set in a white gold bezel with beautiful color and clarity. There’re five (5) diamonds in total with a total diamond weight at approximately 1.5 carats (four (4) diamonds at approximately .25 each totaling 1 carat, plus one larger diamond at approximately .50 carat.) 14-Karat yellow gold chain necklace is marked on clasp “14K” as shown in last image. A very beautiful white cultured pearl and 14-karat yellow gold necklace, circa mid-20th century. Pearl is very beautiful with a high luster. Pearl has a 14-karat yellow gold crown-like design attached to 14-karat yellow gold necklace. A beautiful piece to wear alone or stack with other necklaces. Very good condition as shown in images. Stylish vintage jade ring (circa 1950s to 1960s) crafted in 14 karat yellow gold.

Jade measures 14mm x 9.5mm. The jade is in good condition and free of cracks or chips.

The oval mount highlights beautiful green jade. Measuring just over 1/2 inch in length the ring makes a nice statement on the hand. The low rise ring (7mm – 0.27 inches) sits comfortably on the finger.

The ring is in good condition and was lightly cleaned and polished.

Originally an antique Victorian era stick pin (circa 1880s to 1900s), the seed pearl ring is crafted in 14 karat yellow gold.

The ring is mounted with the original stick pin. Our jeweler rounded the stick pin into a slim band for the finger. The beautifully detailed ring is set with small 1mm seed pearls on an elongated barrel shaped bloomed gold mount.

The ring is in good condition. We have not cleaned it in order to preserve the patina and collector value.
