Large Set of Napoleon III French Antique Exterior Doors with Carved Panels

This magnificent set of large exterior double doors are French and from the Napoleon III period. Each panel has hand crafted structural detail of rosettes and flowers carved into them. The doors have their original brass lock intact which has intricate decoration moulded into the metal work (as shown in the photos) The doors also have their original bar lock system that extends from the top to the bottom. They are from an old house and are architectural salvage. In addition, they are in a light duck egg blue colour and have great patina across their surfaces.

The doors have wear and damage but this is consistent with their age and usage. Please view the photos as they form part of the condition report.

Pair of 19th Century, French Carved Oak Wall Door Panels in Gilt Frames

Decorate a man’s office with this pair of elegant antique panels. Crafted in France, circa 1870, and made of oak, the sculpted elements are decorated with exquisite carvings in high relief; one-door features a central medallion with a basket of fruit, foliage and floral motifs, the other panel has a central wheat decor embellished with leaves around. Both door panels are set inside a carved gilt frame from a later addition. The wall decorations are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorn a rich patinated walnut finish.

Monumental Oak Door, 19th Century

These high oak carriage doors were made at the end of the 19th century and belonged to a typical Haussmannian building in Paris. In very good condition, the details have been carefully executed. Fine moldings discreetly punctuate the structure, as well as the diamond inlaid panels at the bottom of the doors. The clean design of these doors emphasizes the soft lines that animate the top of the composition, carved with scrolls, flowers, and beautiful shells. In addition to the top of the door being rounded, the arabesques give a dynamic and elegant impression of a façade. The dimensions of the door allow the entrance of a car in the courtyard of the Haussmannian building, typical of the 18th century in the French capital.

Antique cast iron French door knocker

A gilt cast iron door knocker often described as the hand of Fatima or the hand of Eve.

The piece is decorated with foliage and the hand holds a piece of fruit. There is a matching striking plate.

Stamped on the hand is an anchor and the initials CF, which refer to the maker Camion Frères, Ardennes. It is also stamped with the number 12 and the letter C.

A good solid piece that has been cleaned and re-finished. Complete with fixings.
