The furniture has been professionally maintained.
The console is a very practical piece of furniture for both the living room and the hall. Often a stylish mirror was hung above the console, creating a coherent and stylish composition.
The Louis Philippe style appeared in the mid-nineteenth century, when, under the influence of a new fashion flowing from France, some changes began to be made in the then dominant Biedermeier furniture. There was a tendency to increase the number of ornaments, use mobile profiles and historicizing references to Rococo forms. Representative forms have regained their significance.
