The centerpiece stands on a triangular, fluted base with arched feet; on the triangular base three finely chiseled putti with open eyes draped in oak leaves who are seemingly holding up the greenish black round and shallow bowl above, which is sitting in a bronze ring with French Empire style ornamentation.
The bottom of the base stamped with difficult to read monogram “EH”.
A centerpiece with the similar bronze putti pedestal but fitted with a crystal glass bowl is known to have been manufactured by the famous French Cristallerie Baccarat.
Very beautiful and attractive centerpiece or decorative bowl with excellently chiselled and gilt bronze elements.
